It's Time to Celebrate!!!!!!

On August 4th, we celebrated 

Caroline's 3rd and Abigail's 1st Birthdays 

with a Doc McStuffins themed party in Mobile, Alabama.

Time to sing Happy Birthday to Abigail for the first time!

You will notice that I got the cake a little too close and she grabbed one of the pieces of candy on the cake before we could finish singing.

She had been blowing so well before her party, 

but she couldn't pull herself away from the taffy to blow the candle out.

"Wow, all this for me?!?!?!?!?!?!"

I love the concentration!

Time for Poppa to clean her off.  She was a mess!  That's the way it should be!

It's Official...She Walks!

Abigail took her first step on June 8th while my dad was in surgery.  It was a very special moment that I will never forget.

She has continued to walk a step here and there for a while, but this past Saturday, July 14th, she spent about 30 minutes walking back and forth between David and me.  It was so much fun to see her moving into this new phase!

She has continued to walk more and more every day and the last couple of days, she has been taking initiative to walk on her own without our help.  I was finally able to get a good video of her walking.  I can't believe she is about to be ONE!

A Sweet, Sweet Sound

The other day, Caroline said, "You're my best friend."  It was so sweet.

Even better, just now, Caroline said,

"You're the Best Momma!"

Could I ask for anything else?  That just MELTS my heart!

I love you, my sweet Caroline!  You make me laugh every day.  I love the joy in your heart and the way you think about things. It's so refreshing to see the world from a child's perspective!

Abigail's First Tooth

I just had to make note before I forgot that I felt the very tip top of Abigail's first tooth today!

She has been teething for a LONG time, just like Caroline did and finally they are starting to come through!

Caroline got her first tooth on April 10, 2010.  She was eight months old and Abigail is eight months old too!

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

We visited Medoc Mountain State Park today. 

It was SO beautiful out at this park!

 We spent some time flying a kite and hiking.

I love days like this with my hubby and sweet girls!

Caroline really didn't want her Daddy's help in flying the kite, but they had a good time anyway!

I loved watching David and Caroline together!

Meanwhile, here is what Abigail was doing.

First, she spent some time playing with and crawling all over Mommy.

She decided she wanted to crawl all through the grass.

She got pretty far away from me at one point.

Time to get back to Mommy!

I have no idea why she was doing this, but she kept lifting her leg like this.  Too cute!
