What I Love About You...20 Weeks

20 Weeks

December 17, 2009

I Love...

-your new "Baby's First Christmas 2009" bell ornament we found at Target. It's very special because the Christmas before we got married, David and I exchanged ornaments. The ornament I gave David was actually a set of 2. It is one bride and one groom bell. We were so excited to find you a matching bell for our tree! This is just one of many baby ornaments on our tree!

-how you so sweetly cross your legs while you are breasfeeding.

-just playing with you. You are such a fun baby to play with! I can't wait to see how your personality continues to develop!

-that we got to put your first presents from us under the tree this year! I was so excited when I got them finished and placed them under the tree! Notice the picture of the tag that says "To Caroline, From Mommy and Daddy"!!!!!!!!

-to watch you sleep. Of course, you know that by now, but I still love it so much!

-to give you your baths. We tried a bath in your bumbo in preparation for our trip to Alabama and you liked it too! It's also the first time you played with any toys in your bath. You really enjoyed that!

-how it seemed as if you were going for your presents the other day. You started on your play mat and scooted yourself towards the presents. Too bad you had to wait 8 more days to open them!

I Love...

-how you just love to be in your bath. Daddy likes to just put your feet in and you enjoy trying to figure out the water.

-watching you play with your toys in your high chair. You are such a good baby! I can put you in your chair while I cook dinner and you will stay there a good while.

-how good you were during the SEC championship game. You had fun playing on your friend, Sadie's playmat. (Roll Tide, by the way!)

-just how cute you look in your Alabama outfit. We had a great time this night when Alabama won the SEC championship!

-how you look in your cute "my first Christmas" onesie that your Aunt Carrie gave you. It's actually a little too small for you.

-watching you put your foot in your mouth and chew on it. It's too cute! I often leave you to play or put you in your carseat and then come to get you and your socks are all wet! ;)

-seeing you sleeping so sweetly in "your" crib at church. This is the first time you slept in your crib there and you slept so sweetly!

-how fun and crazy it was to try to take your Christmas picture! You were so cute! You kept putting your legs up in the air and getting them in the picture, but I got a few good shots! I am so thankful for you!

-to see you smiling so, so big! This is one of your new favorite positions from your Daddy. You love it!

I love you, my sweet Caroline! You are amazing, wonderful, beautiful and so sweet! I am so thankful you are a part of my life!

Milestone Alert!

Can you believe it? Caroline is sitting up! She still topples over sometimes when she reaches right or left, but she can reach forward and sit back up perfectly! I just can't believe it! She's getting so big!

This picture in from the first time we let Caroline sit on her own. She is on the bed at the hotel we stayed in on our way home to NC from Mobile. Sorry for the picture quality! I forgot to take our camera into the hotel so I had to use my phone.

This is Caroline on December 31st after we got home from Mobile. You can see how good she is sitting up in this video. I'm so proud of our little girl!!!
