My China Doll, as everyone calls her

I LOVE....
-your funky sleeping positions. I really can't believe that you can sleep comfortably with your leg under you like this!

-seeing you with your "Heaven Sent" teddy bear Daddy and I bought you the day we found out you were a GIRL! See here. You, little girl, really are sent from heaven!

-walking to your room after your naps and finding you in a new and different position all the time. You were sticking your feet through the slats of your bed this time. You are so cute!

-how you reacted when I gave you Gerber puffs for the first time. *If you missed seeing the entire post about this funny day, go here.

-seeing you looking at yourself in the table. You LOVE to look at yourself! Usually it's in the mirror, but I thought this picture was interesting of you looking at yourself in the table. You are a cutie!!! Annagail Murray used to do this at our table when she was about your age. There are pictures of her later.

-how you love your time with the Murray children! Their parents are our best friends. They all think of you as the 6th child in their family. They love you so much and prayed for you every day from the time they found out you were in my womb. Each and every one of them, all SEVEN, are SO special that I just can't even explain it! The Lord brought us together at exactly the time when we needed them. I am SO thankful for them! You already love spending time with them and I am so excited about that!

-how you put the remote to your head & sometimes hit your head with it too. I don't know why you do it, maybe you are mimicking us with our phones, but it is too cute!

-how you empty your toy basket out and play with all the toys. I just find it too cute to watch you meticulously pick through them all.

-seeing you standing, holding on to the coffee table. I was beginning to think you might walk before you crawled, but as you will see later in this post, you definitely crawled first!

-feeding you yogurt. You LOVE your yogurt! This is the first time we gave it to you. The first couple of bites, you made a little funny face, but after that, you were in love!

-how happy you are! You are such a happy baby! I am such a blessed Mommy!

-That I got many good kisses this day. You looked like you were eating me though!

Here is the video to go along with the picture:

The video below is the first time Caroline really crawled. She is such a big girl and I just can't believe it is already time for her to crawl!!!!!

My First Mother's Day and Caroline's Dedication

This post is going to be very out of order because I am still trying to catch up on Caroline's weekly posts, but I wanted to post about my First Mother's Day with Caroline.

Mother's Day was so wonderful! I am so glad that this day has finally arrived for me! It is such an amazing thing to be a mother and to be Caroline's mother! She is so wonderful and sweet!

For Mother's Day weekend, my parents and David's grandparents, parents and brother all came up to be with us so we could celebrate Caroline's dedication! We had a wonderful weekend visiting with everyone! On Saturday, we went to the hotel where the Stanfords were staying and enjoyed the pool there. It was Caroline's first time in a pool and she absolutely LOVED it!

On Sunday, it was Mother’s Day and time for Caroline’s dedication. Many people don’t really understand what it means to dedicate your child to the Lord, so here is an explanation: Dedication is not so much about Caroline as it is about us as parents and our church. It is a commitment by us to recognize that Caroline is a gift from God that He can use as He wills, and that we as parents will raise Caroline in the fear and the admonition of the Lord and that the Church will provide an environment where she can grow in the knowledge of Christ.

The dedication service was wonderful. We all went back to our house for a steak lunch after the dedication. It was very good!

I have to say that it is so much fun being a Mommy! I love my sweet Caroline and am so happy she is in our lives!

Here are pictures from Caroline's first time in the pool!

Here are some pictures from the dedication.
When I look at this picture, I can just hear my thoughts:
"It's finally my turn! I'm finally a mom!"

I Love...
-going to the park with you and how you just LOVED playing in the pine straw. I brought several toys with us and you played with a few of them, but you just couldn't help yourself in the pine straw. You loved playing in it and with it!

-seeing you watch the ducks for the first time. You really didn't pay too much attention to them, but I caught you staring at them in this picture. I'm positive that you will come to love visiting the ducks very soon!

-picnicking with you and Daddy! This was our first trip to the church's playground with you. Below are pictures of your first slides.

I love the sweet flower Daddy put in your hair!

This is your first time in a swing! You really loved it! We had so much fun with you!

This is my first time sliding with you.

-how you discovered that you can flip your toy basked over and get all of the toys out of it. You were SO cute when you took them all out one by one.

Here is the second time you emptied it. So cute!
-going to the lake with you and Daddy for a picnic. This was our second trip to the park where we sat and just played and enjoyed God's creation and this time Daddy was able to come!

You and Daddy watching the fishes!

You loved the pine straw in the trees too!

You love the wind!

You loved it when Daddy put you HIGH up in the air!

Here is our view from our little picnic spot.

-watching you holding your self up standing. There is a video below of you holding yourself up and opening and closing the door on your toy too.

-how you are so easily entertained. I was cleaning out my coupon folder and I just kept throwing coupons at you on the floor and you loved playing in them!

I hope you guys enjoy the video below. Caroline laughs hysterically when David and I throw the ball back and forth.
