I Love...
-the fun you had when I put you in the middle of the clothes I had just taken out of the dryer. You can see that you enjoyed playing with Daddy's sock in this picture.

-just watching you hang out on our bed so happy. You are such a happy baby and I am so thankful for that!

-being your Mommy! You love playing with your lotion bottle these days.

-you hanging out with me while I get ready. I always sit you in your Bumbo beside me in the bathroom and you love looking at yourself in the mirror!

-your joy! You are such a joyful little baby. I love watching you laugh...you are so amazing!

-watching you play with your friend, Sadie. You girls have so much fun together!

-this picture of you. You have this Razbaby RaZberry Teether and you LOVE it! This day you were sucking on it like a normal paci instead of chewing on it. You just look so cute with it in your mouth like that's...it's huge!

-how you have your regular paci on your mouth in this picture. Sometimes you even turn it upside down...it's so cute!

Here are a couple of videos from this week. I had so many that I had to narrow it down. I hope you enjoy!

A Cherished Moment

Last night I read a wonderful birth story of a sweet little baby. It brought me to tears more than once. It made me rethink how I live my life as a Mom. I want to be the best Mom possible to my sweet, little Caroline. She is a GIFT from my heavenly Father, chosen just for me! What an amazing thought - she was chosen just for me! So, it got me thinking about my day to day life with her. Most days, I get caught in the monotony of every day life. I worry too much about always having the house clean that I sometimes forget to enjoy the little moments with Caroline. I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS! I want to find the joy in every situation, even if that is when she is so fussy because of one reason or another. I want to make every day as special as possible and be constantly making memories with Caroline. Don't get me wrong, I also know that I can't completely neglect my responsibilities at home, but I do want to try to live every moment with joy with my sweet, baby girl!

Because of all these emotions I felt last night, I burst into tears and talked to David about how I was feeling about all of this. He, of course, was very encouraging. I told him I REALLY wanted to go into Caroline's room, scoop her out of her bed and just hold her! Just holding her is something I rarely get to do anymore and something I miss immensely! Taking Caroline out of her bed while she is sleeping is something I have never, ever done, but I really needed that time with her. David encouraged me to do just that because he knew how important it was to how I was feeling.

So, I quietly snuck into her room and scooped her out of her bed. We got settled into our nice, wonderful rocker and I just stared at her and stared some more. Shortly after she settled into my arms for our time together, a big smile came across her face. Wow! I can't describe how that moment made me feel. I love being her Mommy! I love that my heavenly Father chose ME to be her mother!

I am going to be doing my best to enjoy EVERY moment with my sweet Caroline! I know life is going to get in the way. That's just the way it is, but I am going to do my best to not let it disrupt my joy!

Here is a sweet picture from the days when I got to hold Caroline a lot more.

On a side note, this past week has been a MAJOR milestone week for Caroline. She has started talking so much more, saying Momma and Dada and na-na. The best thing is that we can tell she is associating Momma and Dada with us and not just making sounds all the time. It is SO much fun! I love hearing her saying my name because she wants her Momma!

Also, last Saturday night (4/10), while I was breastfeeding Caroline before bedtime, I reached into her mouth to discover her FIRST TOOTH! It is on the bottom. Yesterday, I felt her second tooth on its way in right beside the first one. My little girl is getting so big!!!

Caroline has also started crawling up a storm! For a while now, she has been scooching all around, but not really crawling. Well, on Tuesday, (4/13), David told me he came up to the living room where his parents were playing with Caroline and she crawled to him! I came up later, once I was ready for the day and she crawled halfway across the living room to me! I just can't believe that my little baby is 8 months old, is talking, crawling and has her first teeth! Where has the time gone????????

Also, I am still trying to catch up on Caroline's weekly posts. I was doing well for a while there, but the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to do anything. I am hoping to catch up soon!

I Love...
-watching my big girl standing up! You love it.
-watching you enjoying you "first purse" you got for Christmas. You love all the pieces. Your favorite item is the money. I guess you are starting young.

-how silly your Daddy is. He thought it would be funny to connect your keys from your purse to your paci. You didn't mind at all.

-the reaction you had to eating bananas for the first time. It was actually the first thing you had after your rice cereal. We ate at The Cheesecake Factory and they brought out a plate just for you. So, we mashed the bananas up and here are some pics from the experience.

-your BEAUTIFUL eyes!

-seeing you hanging out with friends in church nursery. You have so much fun in there!

-how you enjoyed having your Pops feed you while they were here. You still didn't like the bananas very much!

-watching you play with your new house. You really enjoy it! So far, your favorite things are the small pieces that came with it.

-your sweet, praying hands!

-this sweet picture of you with your Grammie and Pops

-watching your Daddy get to feed you your food for the first time. You were so good to him. ;)

-this picture of you. I don't know why you were raising your hands, but it looks like you are cheering. You are so cute!

-your cute self! I just can't get over how amazing you are! You are such a happy baby! I am so thankful and blessed to be your Mommy!

-how much you love your gloworm that your Daddy and I got you. On those rare occasions that you are upset, it always makes you happy!

-you playing with your elephant that your Aunt Carrie got you. You love to play with it!

-watching you play with your mirror. You just LOVE looking at yourself and us in mirrors. You laugh so hard when we turn the corner into the bathroom and you catch a glimpse of yourself and us in the mirror.

-making your baby food myself! This was my first puree I made for you - carrots! You love carrots! I am so glad that I get to make your food for you. I love you, sweet girl!

Crazy "Puff" Faces

I gave Caroline her first puffs today and I just HAD to share her reaction with all of you! When I first gave them to her, she just played with them. So, I ended up putting the puff in her mouth. The pictures below were her reaction. It was hysterical!!! (I also felt bad too when I gave her another one so I could get the pictures. ) She did NOT like them!

I LOVE...
-watching you just hanging out with your Daddy while he is reading you his books and Mommy is trying to get something accomplished. You are just too cute and just love the sound of your Daddy's voice!

-that I got to feed you your first solid food on Feb. 5th. You took to it as if you had been doing it your whole life. Notice in the second picture how you were leaning in to eat it. I couldn't get it in your mouth fast enough!

-YOU! You are just beautiful and so amazing!

-how smart you already are. You love to "read" Daddy's books. ;)

-your absolutely GORGEOUS eyes! I just can't get enough!

-how much you love sitting on our shoulders. You could be so upset, and we'll put you on our shoulders and you will start laughing!

-your cool self. So funny!

-watching you sleep. This is after a very busy day visiting the Murrays and getting your 6 month pictures taken! You were worn out! (That's also the "leave me alone, I'm sleeping" face.) ;)

-your cute, little feet and how you just love them too! You are always bringing them up in your face and playing with them. I love those sweet, little feet!

-that you are such a HAM! Your crazy smiles, laughs and the joy you emit every day are amazing! I am so thankful for you!

-the "I'm going to get that camera if it's the last thing I do" look on your face you have here. You look very intent on getting my camera from me.

-how tiny you look in your big crib. You are too sweet!

-that you are such a good baby! I say that all the time, but it is so true! Everyone always comments about how sweet and smiley you always are. It is such a blessing!
