What I Love About You...17 Weeks

17 Weeks

November 26, 2009

I Love.....
-watching you grab at your toys. This is one of the days that you started on your back and would have made is all the way over if you could have just figured out what to do with your arm.

-how cute it is when the hook on your paci gets turned up.

-just how amazingly beautiful you are! Your smile is so gorgeous!

-how you love to just throw your legs in the air. I don't know why, but you would much rather have them up than laying flat.

-how you enjoy your Grandpa and Grandma Stanford coming to visit!

-how cute you and your Daddy looked the day you happened to dress alike. So cute!

-watching you sleep!

-seeing you in the outfit we bought you the day we found out your were going to be a girl! "Thank Heaven for Little Girls"!

-how cute you look in your new high chair!

-seeing you "walk". You may just walk before you crawl. ;) You have always loved to stand up.

-how your hands looked like a butterfly one morning when I went to get you up because you had been trying to get them out of your swaddle. So cute!

-how you just love your glowworm that Mommy and Daddy got you! It always calms you down.

FREE FREE FREE plus overage

Two days after Thanksgiving, David and I went to Rite Aid and got a whole lot of things for FREE plus $6.93 overage using coupons, sales and Rite Aid's Single Check Rebates program. It was so awesome! Above is a picture of the items we got. There are two things not pictured: Chex Mix and headphones. I love getting stuff for free!

An "I Have Arrived" Moment

My parents came to our house for Thanksgiving this year. We had a really great time and here are a couple of pictures from the day.

My Dad didn't warn us about this pic. ;)

David opened Caroline's new high chair that morning and got it set up so she could sit with us while we ate. Just before we sat down to eat, we got Caroline in her chair and I had an "I have arrived" moment. Do you know what I mean? I looked at my precious, almost FOUR month old and said, "I am a MOMMY!" I have had several of those moments since Caroline was born and they never cease to excite me. Here are a couple pictures of Caroline sitting with us during our Thanksgiving meal. It was so much fun to host Thanksgiving!

Is she really old enough??????

Is Caroline really old enough to

ROLLOVER?????????????

I can't believe it, Caroline rolled over today! She is 4 months, 2 days old. I can't believe it's already time for her to rollover! We've been putting her on her stomach, thinking that she would eventually rollover. I did that today and eventually turned her over onto her back and started talking to her. All of the sudden, she just started turning to the side so I ran to get my camera. She did it! She rolled from her back to her front, finally getting that arm out from under her. Honestly, it was just so amazing to see! I videoed her rolling over THREE times and my camera screwed them all up! I was SO mad!!!!!! I finally got my camera working and tried again and she wouldn't rollover. So, to get it on camera, I started her roll for her and she finished it.

This is just after I turned the light on in the room so you could actually see on the video. She stopped trying to rollover in the middle because she was distracted by the light. You can see the beginnings of her rolling over by her position in this video.

This is the 4th time she rolled over. Sorry about the crazy video, I had a few technical difficulties. The next video is better.

This is the video of her 5th rollover. I am so impressed with my little girl! I know all babies eventually do it, but I just can't believe Caroline is big enough for this! She's growing so fast!

ONE year ago today!

I can't believe it! It was one year ago today that that little stick said, "PREGNANT"!!!!! I can't believe it's been a year and Caroline is finally here. It was a long journey and the Lord has shown us His faithfulness over and over. She is such a blessing to us! We are so thankful for you, Caroline!

Granny gave you a bath!

It is a tradition in David's family that Granny (David's grandmother) gives all the babies their first baths. It started with her first grandbaby and has continued through all the great-grandbabies (with 2 more incubating at the moment!) Caroline is number 8! Since, it took so long for Caroline to lose her cord, it didn't work out that Granny was able to give Caroline her first bath. But, this past weekend, Papa and Granny came to visit and she was finally able to give her a bath! The pictures are below. It was a fun time! Caroline really enjoyed it!

What I Love About You...16 Weeks

16 Weeks

I Love.....
-to watch you grab and play with your paci. You just figured out how to pull it out of your mouth, but you haven't quite figured out how to get it back in yet.

-to take pictures with you. You are so gorgeous and I am so proud to be your Mommy!

-to see you with your Papa (David's grandfather). You really enjoyed him and he really enjoyed you too!

-to see you with your Granny! You really had a blast with her when she and Papa came to visit last weekend. (She finally got to give you a bath...those pictures are to come.)

-just how cute you are! Daddy gave you these rings to keep you from taking your paci out of your mouth and you fell asleep with them in your hand. Too cute!

-to watch you play with your new exersaucer that our friends, the Lindstroms, let us borrow. You love it! You spin all the little toys and also spin all the way around in it.

-your new paci. You are "God's Child" and we are so glad He blessed us with you!

-to watch you suck your thumb. We really don't want you to get attached, but it's so cute when you do it!

-the way I found you sleeping the other day with your hand on your knee. You are too cute!

-how Daddy has to make sure he puts a toy in your pocket for you to play with.

-you! You are just too cute and we are enjoying you more and more each day! You are such a precious, wonderful, loving baby. I love you, sweet Caroline!

-to watch you playing with your exersaucer. It is just so much fun to watch you figure out all the toys!
